The
irony detection task proposed for
EVALITA 2018
consists in automatically classifying tweets according to the presence of
irony (sub-task A) and sarcasm (sub-task B).
Given the array of situations and topics where ironic or sarcastic devices
can be used, the corpus has been created by resorting to multiple
annotated sources, such as
TWITTIRÒ and the
Italian Hate Speech Corpus.
